Boat is located in: Jupiter, Florida
John Locke commissioned Stephens Brothers Boat Yard, in Stockton, California in 1915 to build the “Alice L” after his newborn daughter.
She was designed by Lee Coolidge and appears to be a prototype of the widely recognized Lake Union Dreamboats.
We found her in Patchogue Long Island, fell in love with her, and began what may be the her fifth restoration.
At 24 feet in length, this Stephens raised-deck motor launch built of Western cedar on steam- bent oak frames with a wineglass stern.
Her original doped decks are now teaked, a new stem was installed by accomplished shipwrights.
Inside: cast-iron stove and running water sink.
She sleeps two comfortably.
Powered by a 22 hp Yanmar diesel.
Restored in South Florida, where she entered her 2nd century!
We re-christened her LEGEND at the 2016 Palm Beach Vintage Regatta.
She embodies the elegance and luxury of America’s Golden Age of Yachting.
We have a photo/history book link to share with you.
Custom trailer goes with boat. The boat was last used 1.5 years ago.
Death in Family.
Must sell.
Engine runs like a champ.
I do not know how many hours it has on it, I do not have photos of the engine as the boat is presently shrink wrapped to protect from Florida sun.
The photo book has a lot of your questions answered. You do not need to buy the book.
