Boat is located in: St. Pete, Florida
This CSY Walkover 44 is for sale in Grenada.
Owners comments: We, being the current owners searched for a boat that was strong and bluewater safe.
We always felt secure, no matter the conditions.
Freedom fit the bill.
Before we went cruising the Eastern seaboard of the United States and the Caribbean (down to Trinidad), they spent 5 1/2 years, doing an entire refit on Freedom.
As they say “from stem to stern”, nothing was left untouched.
The engine was pulled and overhauled, ports came out, hatches came off, the entire electrical system was pulled and re-done…we upgraded every aspect of our boat.
Freedom was a “labor of love”.
Here are some of Freedom’s strengths: She was built in the 70’s when boats were built with thick layers of fibreglass for incredible durability and strength.
She has a powerful 85 HP engine that helps us when the conditions are tough.
A powerful boat with an engine to match is a huge plus. 6″ wide side wells/ toe rails to add to the safety of Freedom in adverse conditions.
A huge, deep center cockpit that’s great for entertaining.
Freedom was always “the boat” to gather together on.
An aft stern area large enough to exercise and fish from.
The captain’s berth is fantastic for privacy due to the walkover design.
Lots of ports and a huge hatch for great sleeping conditions plus an en-suite head/shower.
The main cabin is also extremely spacious for entertaining with high ceilings and lots of seating.
The settee converts into 2 bunks for guests.
The main cabin also has a huge head complete with a spacious shower.
The bow area has a roomy v-berth that doubled as the current owners “garage”. “From guitars to extra hose…we had a place for everything.
We had created tons of storage space for all the necessary tools to maintain a bluewater sailboat.
After a 2 year degree in marine propulsion, all repairs and maintenance were completed by us, following all ABYC regulations, never depending on others. ( All tools included in the sale)” We re-built the fuel(120 gal) and water(130gal) fibreglass storage tanks to allow for bluewater long-distance cruising, plus a 20 gallon per hour watermaker to aid in independence. “Freedom was the boat of our dreams and she served us incredibly well.
Over 9 years of sailing and living on Freedom created a lifetime of memories.
We invested 5 1/2 years of sweat, equity and over $65,000 refitting Freedom.
In addition to everything listed, included in the sale are scuba tanks, scuba gear and all tools.”
